Hope and the Mortal pt.1

The picture above is the labyrinth. It was built by Daedalus on the orders of king Minos to imprison the Minotaur. In my poem the labyrinth is a metaphor for the distance you feel between yourself and the one you love, when the whole world is against your union.

Hope is an angel and Chico is a human being. God made rules against angels and humans coming together. In this part we see the situation from Chico's point of view. He finds hopes diary in which she begs for freedom from this pain that she has because of not being with Chico.
